SHADY LAKE, located on Weaver Road in Lower West Milford, is an active community with a lake association
which maintains:
-A small lake for boating and fishing
-A clubhouse for dances, dinners, private parties, pool, ping
pong, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball and a weekly Kids Klub in the summer
-An Olympic sized pool
-A tree farm
for hiking and the purchase of fire wood
-Children's play area
-A "private" community with private roads to minimize
traffic for residents and visitors
There is a Board of Trustees and several committees to run events throughout the
year. The Board and all the committees are made up of volunteers.
Membership in the Association is voluntary, which
entitles you to take advantage of all of the above facilities and activities. If you decide not to join the Association, there
is still a mandatory road maintenance fee.
